The stamp dealer Bartlett used this letterhead to promote the remainders of Canadian provinces he had acquired in 1896. Forgers used this to make forgeries. They cut the letterhead out and applied perforations. The letterhead’s surrounding original thin black line can often still be seen in these forgeries.
