On October 18. stamps were overprinted with a surcharge doubling the postal rate. The double overprint above were due to an error made by the clerk at the post office. He first used an incorrect “10 Halerzy 10” rubber stamp. To correct the mistake, he then applied the correct “6 Halerzy 6” rubber stamp.

Forgeries were made by S. Abramson in 1928 with the same printing press as the genuine.

The first of the three people in the foreground is standing up

Postmark diameter: 36mm

Perforated 11.5

The center circular window over the church door is in a crescent laying on its back from the 6-9 o’clock position

The tree is lighter at the top & the wagon below the tree is darker

The wagon at the lower left corner is bright & clear

The 2 wagons at the lower right corner has a narrow line dividing them

The first of the three people in the foreground is kneeling

Postmark diameter: 34mm

Perforated misc.

The center circular window over the church door is in a crescent standing from about 7.5-10.5 0’clock position

The tree top is darker while the wagon is brighter

The wagon at the lower left corner is dark & difficult to see

The 2 wagons at the lower right corner has a wide heavily shade area
