Genuine letter from San Fernando to Port of Spain, franked with private ship’s mail stamp «LADY McLEOD» with crossed pen cancellation as usual. There are currently 35 Lady McLeod covers known – this is No. “C 9” of the registered envelopes.

Mass produced covers with pen writing. The stamp and hand cancel was applied afterwards.
Thus the handwriting is identical, but the stamp placement and hand cancel vary.
